Life as Ritual 101
Life as Ritual 101
Join us for a series of in-person workshops where you will learn all you need to engage with the natural world using a lens of ritual and ceremony.
So many of us have come to feel isolated and separate, yearning for some way to feel connected to the natural world. Do you have a gut feeling that we might be part of something larger than ourselves and don't know how to connect? Perhaps you've considered the use of ritual and ceremony, magic even, as a way to fill this longing, but don't know where to start.
This 6-month series will introduce you to the fundamentals of ritual as you navigate your own journey towards connection with the cycles and spirits of nature. During this class, you will learn to build your own set of practices or devotions, using the cycles of nature to inform you daily life.
This series does not center on any one specific belief system. Instead, we'll focus on elements of ritual that are relatively constant across cultures and are not bound to any one framework. This is an introductory level course; no experience is required. Bring only your intention, attention, and curiosity.
In this class you will:
Develop a working vocabulary of ritual
Understand how the cycles of nature can influence ritual
Develop an understanding of the structure of ritual, including:
Containers
Invocations, how to 'call in'
Altars/Tools
Grounding & Powering Up
Intentions & Petitions
Reciprocity and the Good Exchange
